Hawzah News Agency- Sabah Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor said the State-level Quran Recitation and Memorisation Assembly is one of the State Government’s strategic initiatives to encourage Muslims to appreciate and elevate the Quran. The ceremony was officiated by Sabah Governor Tun Musa Aman.
Hajiji stated that the continued organisation of the annual religious event reflects the government’s commitment to ensuring balanced development — both spiritual and physical — in order to achieve harmony between worldly progress and spiritual well-being.
He added that the assembly serves as a platform to produce outstanding Qari, Qariah, Hafiz and Hafizah who excel in Quranic recitation and memorisation, while also serving as role models for the community. He further reaffirmed the government’s commitment to supporting Islamic education, tahfiz institutions and programmes aimed at strengthening Islamic values.
